Move to Your Own Rhythm – finding what makes you come alive
Hey Friends!
I’ve been thinking a lot about rhythm lately…
Not the kind you hear in music…
but the kind you feel in your life.
The way your days flow…
the pace that feels natural to you…
the moments when you feel most like yourself.
And if I’m honest, for a long time, I didn’t even realize I had a rhythm.
But someone else noticed it before I did.
My mom used to say that I got dressed “at night.”
(It was really just the evening… but she had a point.)
Because somehow, as the day started winding down…
as the sun softened and everything slowed…
That’s when I came alive.
And I didn’t think much of it back then.
But looking back now…
I can see it so clearly.
My mornings are slow.
My days are even slower.
But late afternoon?
That’s when I bloom.
🌱
And it makes me wonder how often we try to force ourselves into rhythms that were never meant for us.
The timelines…
the expectations…
the quiet pressure to move at a pace that doesn’t quite fit.
It’s exhausting.
Because there’s something really powerful about moving in a way that feels natural to you.
Not rushed.
Not forced.
Not borrowed from someone else’s life.
Just… yours.
Lately, I’ve been paying more attention to that.
Listening to when I have energy…
when I feel creative…
when I need to pause.
And instead of fighting it…
I’m learning to follow it.
Not perfectly.
Just intentionally.
So if you’ve been feeling a little out of sync lately…
Maybe this is your reminder:
You don’t have to match someone else’s rhythm.
You don’t have to rush your timing.
You’re allowed to move in a way that feels aligned… even if it looks different.
~ Keep growing, keep blooming ~ 🌸
I’d love to know—when do you feel most like yourself during the day?
