Career Choices With Your Heart: Navigating career paths
Hi Lilies!
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how deeply connected our work is to our sense of fulfillment.
Not just financially…
but emotionally too.
Because so much of our lives are spent working, creating, building and trying to find our place in the world.
And if I’m honest, I think many of us quietly wonder at some point:
“Am I truly where I’m supposed to be?”
“Is there something more aligned with who I really am?”
“What if I’m still becoming?”
For some people, their path feels clear very early in life.
But for many others, discovering meaningful work happens slowly…
through curiosity,
life experiences,
unexpected turns,
reinvention
and growth.
And I think that’s okay.
I’m beginning to believe that fulfillment is not always about finding one perfect career path.
Sometimes it’s about paying attention to the things that make you feel most alive.
The things that naturally pull your attention.
The things you can spend hours doing without noticing time passing.
The things that leave you feeling energized instead of emotionally drained.
Sometimes those quiet interests are trying to tell us something about ourselves.
I also think purpose evolves.
Who you were ten years ago may not be who you are now.
What fulfilled you once may no longer fit the person you’re becoming.
And there is nothing wrong with growing into a new season of yourself.
One thing I’ve learned is that meaningful work often sits somewhere between:
what you value
what comes naturally to you
what brings you joy
and
the kind of life you truly want to create
Not perfectly.
Not instantly.
But gradually and honestly.
Gentle Questions To Ask Yourself
What makes you feel most like yourself?
Pay attention to the things that naturally energize and inspire you.
What kind of life are you trying to build?
Sometimes the lifestyle we desire reveals more than the job title itself.
What values matter most to you?
Creativity, peace, flexibility, impact, freedom, stability—these things matter.
What keeps quietly calling your attention?
Sometimes purpose begins as a gentle recurring interest we keep returning to.
Growing Gracefully
You do not have to have your entire future perfectly figured out to move forward meaningfully.
Sometimes finding your direction begins with trusting yourself enough to explore what genuinely brings you alive.
Keep blooming gently, Lilies 💚
