LETTING GO OF PERFECTIONISM: Embracing Progress Over Perfection

Hey friends!  I’ve been sitting with this word lately…

Perfection.

And if I’m honest… I think I’ve been holding onto it more than I realized.

Not always in obvious ways.

But in the quiet moments—
when I hesitate before starting something…
when I overthink the smallest details…
or when I feel like something isn’t “ready” yet.

And I’ve been asking myself…

What am I really waiting for?

Because the truth is, perfection can feel like a safe place.

If everything is just right,
then maybe we won’t make mistakes…
maybe we won’t feel exposed…
maybe we won’t fall short.

But I’m starting to see something differently now.

Perfection doesn’t actually move us forward.

It keeps us paused.

It keeps us second-guessing.
It keeps us holding back things that might actually be meaningful… even if they’re not flawless.

And lately, I’ve been trying something new.

Not big, dramatic changes…

Just small moments of choosing progress instead.

Letting something be “good enough.”
Taking a step before I feel completely ready.
Allowing myself to learn as I go.

And you know what?

It feels a little uncomfortable…
but also a little freeing.

🌱

So if you’ve been feeling stuck, or holding back, or waiting for everything to line up just right…

Maybe this is your gentle reminder:

You don’t have to be perfect to begin.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

You can take one small, imperfect step… and let that be enough for today.

~ Keep growing, keep blooming ~ 🌸

I’d love to know—what’s one thing you’ve been holding back on that you might be ready to start… even imperfectly?
